The Build Tool is designed to give you an accurate at-a-glance view of how much a given item will cost you to produce. It will give you an accurate list of the amounts of all minerals, commodities and components required in the creation process, as well as the cost of each individual requirement and a tally of each group.
This should give you a pretty good idea of exactly how much it will cost you to create a given item based on the current prices. Simply type in the item you're searching for in the blank above. For example; Osprey. It will then give you a listing of all items that match the term "Osprey" -- there are several. Most likely you want the one that is underlined in Yellow. Click that link, and it will take you to the requirements for that ships creation.
Note: Currently it assumes "perfect" creation, and doesn't take into account taxes, or constructon costs. Working on it.
Clicking in-game will "showinfo" for that item, out of game it will take you to the out of game resource at eveonline.com.
